How to use Compress Images

  1. Choose images and pick the output format based on the destination: JPG for photos, WebP for modern web use, or PNG for transparency.
  2. Set quality, maximum width, and an optional target KB for best-effort compression.
  3. Download the result and compare the before/after size report.
  4. Open at least one compressed image before uploading or emailing it.

Important limitations

  • Compression re-encodes images and can reduce visual quality.
  • Transparent PNG files may lose transparency if converted to JPG.
